Leisure Island

Looking for things to do in Cairns with kids? Children need to be entertained. They long for it and there are a few things to do in Cairns with kids, however, one of my favourites since I have been living in Cairns would have to be Leisure Island. It’s your typical example of some old school Cairns living for the whole family

things to do in cairns with kids 1Leisure Island is an Amusement Arcade and fun for the whole family. In fact, it’s so much fun I had my 32nd birthday party there! Yes. I’m just a big kid at heart, but I’m not sure who enjoyed it more, my kids or me?! I miss the old arcades. They seem to be a dying trend.

Leisure Island has all of your favourite arcade classics, plus the old school fun of air hockey, Slam n’ Jam and a great range of games for the whole family. Win tickets and redeem them for little quirk toys the kids will love.

I especially love the Daytona and Sega Rally arcade games. The whole family can race cars in a fast paced and fun game. With the younger ones though, it’s more crashing and driving backwards than racing, but that’s what it’s all about.

You can find Leisure Island at Shop 64 Stockland, Earville Shopping Centre.

Trading Hours are Monday Sunday 9am – 7pm. Friday nights are now open to 9pm.

So, whether you’re living in Cairns or just on a short stay and if you’re on the hunt for things to do in Cairns with kids, make sure you check out Leisure Island.
