Fun for beginners

Catering for beginner to advanced, you will have the opportunity to ski with kneeboards, skis and wakeboards around a lake that has a number of obstacles and jumps, all of which can be utilised depending on your skill levels.

If you’re just starting, I highly recommend the kneeboard. It’s much easier to get around on and you will be surprised how much quicker you’ll learn and get a feel for the water. All of the equipment can be hired from the shop at the complex itself.

If you’re more into chilling out, there’s also  a beach area that includes sun lounges, a licensed cafe and BBQ area.

Also catering for the advanced

Word of advice, get there early. Like many popular things to do in Cairns, during the weekdays it’s generally uncrowded, however on the weekends there can be some queues, so try to get in early to get some quality skiing time.

When you’re heading there, also remember to slip slop slap. Keep that sunscreen on throughout the day, as the Cairns sun is unforgiving to those that don’t cover up. The last thing you want is sunburn in Cairns, it’s horrible.

All in all though, for those looking for a fast paced day of action and thrills, be sure to check out Cable Ski Cairns. It’s certainly a great thing to do in Cairns, especially if you’re a board rider or water sports enthusiast.
