An information site for people about Cairns, Australia
If you’re in need of a good bargain, the Cairns Designer Factory Outlet is your one stop destination. With an array of high-street and one-off boutique stores, there’s something to suit everyone’s shopping needs. The centre offers amazing bargains, including two dollar shoes (yes- I couldn’t believe it either!), six dollar dresses and jewellery cheaper than a Maccas happy meal.
For all you ladies out there, the stores discounted high-street selection includes Cotton On, Valley Girl, Jay Jay’s, Lorna Jane and Factorie. Or if you’re looking for something truly unique, try dress boutique Viola Designs for a Saturday night dress that I can guarantee no one else will have. Gents: snap up a suave suit at Tarocash, or fulfil your electronic needs at Dick Smiths electronics, and even get a haircut while you’re at it! Doing up your home? Bed, Bath and Table and Form Home will provide you with all you need to get going.
When you need a quick break (as shopping is a vigorous activity and does count as sport) relax at The Coffee Club or grab a Subway, all located in the centres varied food court.
Located alongside the Bruce Highway in Westcourt, the centre is easily accessible from the city centre. If you’re coming by bus, most buses on the Sunbus service stop at the DFO, ensuring regular services to the centre.
The centre hours are 9-5, seven days a week, so plenty of time to get your shopping fix.
There’s only one problem: You will leave with so many bags you’ll wonder why the centre doesn’t have a huge warning sign outside:
‘Attention all shopaholics: The DFO WILL empty your wallet (and fill your wardrobe)’
